Efficiency without compromise
In what had been recorded as the hottest year on record in December 2015, String Theory were in search of a cooling solution that complemented their historic building workplace.
With sustainability as a starting point, the objectives String Theory wanted to achieve in selecting a cooling solution for the office space included the need for silence in operation, low energy consumption to match the low-impact design of the environment, a visual appeal to complement the interior design and, above all, a solution that would deliver.
On approaching Net Zero regarding design recommendations, an assessment of the existing conditions and working environment resulted in the installation of three Aeratron AE360 Black 1520mm ceiling fans to the zones where comfort relief was required.
The end result on completion of the installation is a workspace that achieves low energy cooling for summer months combined with improved heating performance in winter months as the Aeratron fans move the wasted heat under the ceiling back down into the space.
